We took some long overdue staycation time last week-hitting the People's Republic for a lovely catch up with the Cork branch of the family and then on to the rain soaked misty roads of the Kingdom, where an endless supply of reading material, mulled wine and turf fires awaited at the edge of civilisation or Ballinskelligs as the locals call it.

Mini had a ball and it was the first time she got to walk on a beach. I can't describe how great it is when you've been waiting all this time for a child to walk with you and how when they do it's just magical. It opens up a whole other world full of new adventures. Looking forward to walking the prom with Mini as opposed to just pushing her up and down in a buggy now that we're back in Galway. She'll be kicking the wall in no time!
